​Hi Bikeers,

We've been silent for a month and we have a lot of news to share with you. Following up to the flash update of one month ago, here's the full swing update plus some fresh news.

Shipments going on!

The number of kits shipped and delivered is growing up, we are now at 60 kits shipped and we have in-house other 60 to be shipped in the next week. We are also manufacturing and shipping the motors at a steady pace of 8/10 motors per day. Not too many but the key word here is "steady". There are a lot of things to improve to get the production quicker, but we're giving the priority to accuracy at this point.
The production is running well too: motors and controller boxes are available in every power version, as you can see from the below pictures.

Second batch of batteries (for those who ordered the kit after March 2017)
We are now waiting for the second order of batteries from the manufacturer, that is in transit.
One important notice for ExtraEU backers: in recent updates we informed you about the decision to ship the batteries first and than the other components of the kit in a second moment. A new shipping from the manufacturer is started so check your email because Irene is sending you traking number and shipping info. If you are notified to receive a parcel from China: that's probably your battery!

Bikeers' best installations

Some backers came to our facility for the installation of the kit. We love to display the most fascinating conversions we see. The Santa Cruz below is simply astounding. It has a 999W BEST kit with backpack battery.

Strange noise on 10% of the motor. Identified the cause and solved.

In the flash update we introduced an anomaly. There was a problem with loose bearing which created a clicking noise after few hours of operation. We recently found out the same noise in other 4 motors in the field: that would make a 10% defect rate in the first production batch. Consequently, we opted to interrupt the shipping process and solve the problem on the motors we had in house. We decided to create calibrated shims so to prevent the loose bearing from moving. We then tested this solutions and it worked just fine.  The loose bearing problem took us two weeks to solve in which we stopped the shipments.
The calibrated shims has been created as a precautionary measure for all our motors we had in stock: we already upgraded all the motors with the calibrated shims and we are already shipping those.  We're shipping those to Italian backers so we can make sure the solution is working in real life conditions on a larger scale. If we won't have new alerts in a week (it was possible recognize the loose bearing as an abnormal noise after a few miles), we'll proceed with the backers who live abroad.

Test days and Show

The test day at Bersntol ring was a great success and we are so thankful for the great participation to this funny event. We took this wonderful opportunuty to film the BEST kits on action. Mirko had a lot of fun in the woods with his fat bike: BEST doesn't fear any climb! Bikee Bike was also at Eurobike in Friedrichshafen (DE). 
Luca and Matteo challenged the bad weather to let you try the BEST experience. We took a couple of bikes from Mantua for the trial in the Demo Ring of the fair and the result was extreme and muddy.

Eurobike is an interesting showcase to make new friends and meet with the old ones! Some Kickstarter guys visited our boot and tested our system with great enthusiam.

Bikee Bike for native ebikes will be available next year

A new concept of the Bikee Bike mid drive motor appeared on an Italian downhill bikes manufacturer’s booth: Pedroni Cycles. 
The motor is based on our Bikee Bike technology, preserve the same performances, but requires a custom made frame, for perfect bike integration. The response from the public was so positive and a new and exciting partnership is around the corner.

Finally all the things are lined up for fulfilling all the orders we have. It's only a matter of days, depending on when you ordered. You might be contacted in the next days by Irene if we don't have your full configuration, if some shipping or invoicing detail is missing or just to let you know that your system is oncoming.

Hey there Bikee Bike Team, Any updates for us? Haven't seen any waves on facebook, noticed one person on kickstarter got their motor.

I've emailed a couple times reluctantly not hearing back. Understand you guys are busy... made a non-kickstarter purchase in Nov 2016, was hoping to hear good news.

Hello Matteo, Thanks for the reply to my message, what is going on in Bikee Bike world? I don't have international calling, and even if I did by the time I get out of work you guys are most likely closed up. Email is the best avenue for me..

If we're not going to get the motors it would be nice to know. That way we can start working on possible refunds and where to return the batteries to. I hate being a downer but my biking season is pretty much toast this season!

I want commend all members of Bikee Bike Team because you guys have been making an effort; actually extra effort on your production. I know for a fact that the task that was given to you was no joke. The production itself was a huge challenge. I myself don't think can handle such pressure. That's why I really want to commend everyone who had become part of it. Hopefully, you will post something about knowing how to form a bike manually. I think that's a very good content.

You write on your website: "Expected delivery if you order now: November 2017". How does that work?

We ordered and paid in June and didn't receive anything. Can we step back from this purchase?
I haven't received an answer on my e-mail , so I write in the blog. Maybe I get an answer now.
You have to update your purchaser!!!

Thanks for your heads-up about the delivery date: that was past due and now we changed it to December and notified all those who purchased the kit in the last days of the inconvenience.

I was very surprised (positiv!) when I received the kit 3 weeks ago, it was worth waiting for it. Perfect fit to my bike. The kit is a nice pice of electro-mechanical work, well done. Hope that it is on the road as robust as it looks :-)

I got mine and finnally working on a normal bulls monster (2016)

3 things I needed to adjust.
1.) the bottom bracket was a little to small. But with an adjustable reamer (adjustable up to 33,5mm) I got the shaft trough.
2.) Then I needed to extend the derailleur by a 3D printed part which worked fine, after I cut the alu bracket a little so the the shift higer was possible. You can download the STL file here https://www.thingiverse.com/search?q=bikeebike
3.) For this fatbike I needed an extra 5mm large shim, which I also printed....

I am one of the original backers and I have only received a battery to date. No response to e-mails. It looks like I will not be getting my motor and have thrown a considerable sum of money down the drain.

Hey there Bikee Bike Team, You properly already have solve this...But Lose bearings can be fixed with, making a groove for a lock ring and insert this, to stop the movement of the bearings. Just like the front wheel bering are fixed in a car, with front wheel drive, to stop it from moving when you making a U-turn. Best luck Jørgen Thomsen Denmark DK

Hi David, and Miko, I am also one of the first original backers, and was contacted for confirmation of my "kit" and I changed my order and ordered some more.
Now I am waiting to, and no answer of any-kind, of the process.
I think They are overwhelm with people there are asking for there "Kit", and asking ...When do I get something ......My self included ...... I have a feeling That They are walking on solving problems, coming up from users, there are using there motor in the field....like a field test, and some problems have to be soled before "They" are getting to many "not walking kit" out in the field. Then it can be very cost sensitive to get them all back and "fixing" them. I can se That "They" don't know the time, and the consumption it take to make a perfect walking motor without any problems, and They have made promise to us when the "Kit" are finish and "They" can't keep up the promise. Because, solving problems and testing again and again are a very time consuming project.....And Irene are totally up to here ears of mail asking ...When...When... and can't give any answers because it is Not hers to fix, and the problems "fixer" don't know either because he are waiting for feedbag from the field, before he can decide, if production are Go ore No-Go.........eventually.... I Think and Feel THAT We all are getting our "Kit" over time, ......but when I don't Know .........and we Cant Wait to get This pice of beauty technology on our bikes and get it going uphill's ........So I Think The keyword in This process is "patience" even if it herts.....Bets to all The problems solving Bikee Best Team ....and for Those who are painfully waiting .."don't loose faith" .. Take a long X-Mass holiday, and feast with your friends.....and Take some "brewery" to forget.........and Then Happy New year to all and lets be prepared to "revive" our long waited "beauty" i 2018 ..when time comes.....My self included ...........Jørgen Thomsen Denmark DK

I got my kit on 20th of December. Hallelujah…kit looks good…I’m happy……… after all the waiting.

I’m sure You had and have a lot of work. But the product seems to be one of a kind.
In the moment I’m to busy to fix it (work, family, Christmas, end of the year-things will be done). But in the second week of 2018 I’ll start.
